Young adults share their thoughts to mark Disability History Month
In recognition of Disability History Month, we asked six young adults in our Community Based Transition program to share some thoughts about their life experiences.
They talked about their hopes for the future, and their thoughts about how an inclusive society benefits everyone.
In CBT, young adults who are at least 18 years old and received special education services are continuing to receive a public education until they are 22. They are working toward independence in the form of developing skills in their daily living tasks, community access, career exploration and future employment.
Take a look at what these six extraordinary young adults have to say.
