Apply to attend a school other than your neighborhood school for the 2022-2023 school year. The application window open October 25, 2021 and close January 21, 2022.
Why Our School
Northeast Tacoma Elementary (NET) is a loud and proud community, where growth is the focus. NET works to ensure students gain more than one year of learning each school year. Students are engaged, take ownership of their learning, and most exceed typical growth and proficiency. The success of students is a result of high expectations for student abilities, staff learning together and working as a team to ensure each student is successful. The NET team is continuously learning and improving their practice and school, engaging students using the 21st Century skills of creativity, communication, collaboration, and critical thinking. Teachers and staff are learning culturally responsive teaching practices and differentiation strategies to meet each child’s strengths and needs. NET supports and teaches the whole child by creating learning environments and restorative circles where students are celebrated for who they are, as well as their significant growth. As a result, NET has earned a Washington State Recognized School Award for Growth and Closing the Achievement Gap.
